  1. As a health-care professional, I began having significant health problems

and followed a traditional medical course of treatment. After about a

year, I was getting sicker and sicker despite my doctor’s reassurances

that the multiple medications I was taking were working. I stopped seeing

my doctor and tried several alternative therapies that eventually led me

to becoming healthy again. As I read Dr. Bassman’s book, I wish it had

been available to me when I was doing my search. It has a wealth of

information written in plain language that is extremely important in our

society which emphasizes disease instead of the wellness model that Dr.

    Bassman presents.

  2. Bassman has written a book unlike others I’ve read on fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue syndrome. Her book is extremely well researched & offers many different options for treatment, both conventional & holistic. In addition to treating physical symptoms, she provides guidance for dealing with emotional, psychological & spiritual aspects of these syndromes. There is a wealth of good scientific information in this book, written in a user-friendly style.
